dollar movie night

So, Colleen and I just got back from hanging with the parents.  Before there, we went to the dollar theater and watched the new StarTrek movie.  It was incredibly good.  I’m not normally a Trek fan, but this movie definitely maid it incredibly interesting.  Great graphics and storyline.  That is what I love in movies… a great story, accompanied with fascinating visuals.

So dollar movies are awesome, especially when you don’t have any money at times, you can still enjoy a night out.  But the thing is, the place where we go is kind of a slump.  I really hope that someone invests some money into that building and renovates it, making it a really sweet, and ‘clean’ place to go.  It’s the type of theater that smells like a 50 year old recliner chair with dust on it found in an attic.  It has so much potential, but it’s really funny right now.  You know a theater is struggling when you walk into the seating area, and chairs are disconnected from the ground and laying back  throughout the room.  But, behind it’s unattractive look, it’s still a very pleasant time.

Well, I just wanted to write a little something before I hit the bed!

Later friends!

*Outdoor Light Changed – Check!

So, last night I changed the front porch light for the first time since Colleen and I have lived in our house.  It was a bit scary because I had to climb up this two step ladder, and stretch high to the ceiling to unscrew two small screws while holding the heavy light fixture made of metal and glass, hoping it doesn’t fall and knock me out.  I kept seeing visions of the fixture falling on me, bringing me to the ground, laying their unconcious, waiting for Colleen to notice that I was incapable of getting up and running from the many bugs attacking my face near our bush garden in the front.  But, I kept on, and got the light fixed, now it can burn at night, and I don’t have to be afraid of what bugs are near the door while I’m searching for my house key.  Sometimes (during the burnout time of our front door light), Colleen would make me leave the car light on, take off the key off the key chain and I would walk to the door using the light from the car to guide my way to our entrance, while Colleen stayed in the car and locked herself in.  The good thing is, if I got mugged in the night, she’d be ok.  And the keys would be in the car.  Gotta keep thinking positive you know? Well, now that I think of it, that still is kind of a horrible situation right? For me that is.  The only mug I like is the one I drink my coffee with.  It’s amazing how lights work.  The structure of the bulb, the ingenuity, the simplicity… it’s fascinating.  It just blows me away that someone had the idea to work on something that produces light, inside a glass bulb.  Amazing.

Awkward situation dealing with light bulbs:
- Going to the restroom when the bulb goes out.  You’re pretty much stuck unless you want to take some risks.

Lets just say, keep some candles and a lighter under the sink.  You gotta see to pee.

Alright, anyways, I think I’m going to go now, and get a new phone charger… because I washed mine.

thursday night

I don’t know what to write about.  I’m sitting here wandering what to write about, and nothing comes to mind.  So I think I’ll just write about me wandering what to write about.  I will say I’m at a point I’m ready to update all my portfolio sites for my graphic design and photography.  Things get so busy at times and then I sit and say to myself, “I wonder when I’m ever going to update my websites.”  I have alot of ideas for the future.  Colleen and I want to do so much together and we have many dreams.  Now we’re just ready to get them going!  So, I just wanted to update a little random thought, and now, I’m leaving work!’
